It was an amazing night printing large woodblocks with a lawn roller!
Many members of the Muskoka Printmaker Collective work in relief printing, where the ink is rolled directly onto the block, then transferred to paper with pressure. Typically, the paper is placed on a block, then put through a press or printed by hand with a barren (or anything you have - even a spoon or a glass!)

This lawn roller was purchased to print large woodblocks that would be challenging to print by hand. Even pressure is applied with this heavy roller - and it makes for a fun demonstration!
